We are a friendly and welcoming traditional karate club, who train in Okinawan Gojyu Ryu Karate.
The club was established in 2019, as a not for profit club, where none of our instructors are paid for teaching. The instructors have both been graded by Japanese senior instructors, and together have over 40 years of knowledge and experience in the style.
We teach karate including punches, kicks, blocks and kata (forms), self defence, and Kobudo (traditional karate weapons), for both juniors and adults, with our classes beginning from 5 years old upwards.
As a club you only pay when you train, and we try to keep costs as low as we can do for gradings etc so we don’t take direct debit payments, and your first lesson is free, so you can see what the club is like before commit to joining us.
We offer junior classes (from 5 years old) and senior classes (from around 12 years old upwards).

19 June 2023 at 3:46 pmI would 100% recommend this club to others. My son has been going for two years now and the patience that our Sensei has had with the children in the session has been phenomenal. Not only are they taught technique and self defence, but also focus and discipline.

21 June 2023 at 5:26 pmSmall friendly club run not-for-profit and with the interests of students at the core. Sensei Craig is a highly skilled, intelligent and knowledgeable traditional karateka dedicated to passing on his knowledge and passion to young and old alike. He is a credit to the best traditions of Okinawan karate. It is a privilege to train with him.
